Basic Starter Website
If you want to have a quick starter website, we can build you a website that is modern and represents you and your business.
To save you some money, we ask that you get your own website hosting and domain name. Don’t worry, we will provide you with instructions. However, if you prefer to have us handle the domain name purchase and hosting, we would be happy to do this for you.
A basic website has the following pages:
Homepage: This is the page that people will land on when they type on your domain name in the browser and is the first webpage they will see. Of course, people don’t always get to your website from your homepage, but it will be the main door for your homepage if they hear about it from an ad, a business card, or from another website. This is a good place to put the most important information — what it is you want people to know first and foremost. A homepage will have links to other parts of your site, and good navigation.
Products & Services: What products or services does your business provide? Do you have a menu and/or price list that you want to put here?
Resume & Portfolio: Perhaps your website is about you, the professional. You can showcase your experience by putting your resume online. Often recruiters will find people online and contact them through their website. You can also put your portfolio here to showcase your work.
About page: The about page is a very important page because it allow people to get to know you on a more personal level. You can give more background about you or your business and let people know what sets you apart.
Contact page: A contact page is usually a simple form that helps you collect prospect information. You can simply list your address and phone number, but a contact form is also recommended instead of just listing your email because it can help cut down on spam to your email. With a form, you can collect a little more information and then respond to the inquiry.
